Cacaoswap: Maya Swaps Without Holding CACAO

CacaoSwap is a Maya Protocol interface for native asset swaps. Users can exchange supported assets without first acquiring CACAO. This exemption applies to swaps; other MAYAChain transaction types may incur CACAO fees.

Starting balance
A MAYAChain-supported asset held in a wallet that CacaoSwap can connect to.

CACAO requirements by transaction type

Maya Protocol's Getting Started guide distinguishes asset swaps from other transaction types. Its instructions for buying CACAO also begin with another supported asset.

Transaction CACAO's role
Exchange supported assets An existing CACAO balance is not required to perform the Maya swap.
Acquire CACAO through a swap A supported asset provides the input, and CACAO is the asset being acquired.
Perform another MAYAChain transaction CACAO fees may apply.

Users who want to acquire CACAO can swap for it; those exchanging other supported assets do not need to buy CACAO first. The absence of a CACAO holding requirement does not establish that a swap is free of costs.

Asset and pool availability

Asset compatibility remains separate from the starting-balance rule. Maya's guide lists ETH.USDT among active pools and ETH.PEPE among staged pools marked "Coming Soon." These entries describe protocol pools; they do not confirm CacaoSwap's live route availability. An intended trade still depends on the interface's support for the assets and the relevant pool status.
